December 2016 __ Amended
There's only few days left in the month and the work didn't go according to plan. Therefore an update is needed:
Time is being spent on figure painting exercises BEFORE starting the larger, full scale Norma Project.
Both figures are 8x10", oil on gessoed linen, using a Zorn palette.
Two work sessions on these girls. My preference is women in clothing as the naked body is strict taskmaster when you pick up a brush.

The new website is almost ready to go live. Check it out HERE

THE NORMA PROJECT
I was able to procure a model for an extremely reasonable fee and now the journey begins.
The "Norma Project" is still in the smaller painted study phase. I'm confident some good work can come of this project.

Two works are still in progress; one being the "Daydreaming Girl", 16x20 oil on linen.
First pass is complete and was a lengthy process due to the large amount of detail. I'm trying this on because of remark by an acquaintance who mentioned my lack of models looking straight on, implying my reluctance to tackle same. We'll see how it goes.

In case there are no add-ons before the January 2017 newsletter; Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
